# Diktator 2.2 (76)

Released September 10, 2026 for Apple silicon Macs running macOS 26 or later.

This release brings the Direct Mac edition onto the shared Diktator processing
foundation used by both current Mac editions, while preserving Direct licensing,
configurable shortcuts, Accessibility delivery, Input Method support, and signed
Sparkle updates.

- Short recordings are evaluated from the saved audio instead of relying only on
  a momentary live level reading.
- Translation requests use isolated sessions so a late result cannot overwrite a
  newer result. Retained source text can still be sent to Apple Translation after
  a source-proofreading failure.
- Text delivery and final clipboard behavior now follow the selected automatic
  copy and replacement settings more consistently.
- Model fallback no longer overwrites the user's saved larger-model choice.
- The 13 interface languages, full dictation-language catalog, local-model
  translation, optional Apple Translation, and Russian model mirror remain
  available. Translation quality still depends on the language pair and model.

Known issue: Command-V may not paste a license key in the activation dialog.
Right-click the field and choose Paste from the context menu.
