Diktator! is intentionally small: choose a writing app, then use the current Lite hotkeys: Right Command for normal dictation or Right Option for polished English text.
Open Notes, Pages, Word, Mail, or another writing field and place the cursor there first.
Right Command shows a green wave for normal dictation. Right Option shows a yellow wave and turns supported speech into polished, grammatically correct English text.
Diktator! can switch between supported languages. A short pause between phrases helps detection; other local-model languages may also work, but quality is not guaranteed for every language yet.
Diktator! stops recording and transcribes locally. Diktator+ direct edition can place the result into the active app with Accessibility. The App Store/TestFlight build uses the standard macOS Services flow where supported, with Copy All or drag fallback when needed.
Microphone records your voice only while dictation is active. The App Store/TestFlight build does not request Accessibility or Input Monitoring. Diktator+ direct edition may use Accessibility only to place locally recognized text into the active app.
Use Lite for short practical dictation: messages, notes, emails, and a few sentences at a time. It is not a meeting recorder, long-form transcription tool, or reliable way to enter terminal commands.
