Dictate into the app you already use.

Diktator! is intentionally small: choose a writing app, press Right Command, speak, and let the text land where the cursor already is.

1. Click where the text should appear

Open Notes, Pages, Word, Mail, or another writing field and place the cursor there first.

2. Press Right Command

The small white capsule appears near the bottom of the screen with a green audio wave.

3. Speak, pause, then switch if needed

Diktator! can switch between supported languages. A short pause between phrases helps detection; Arabic and Turkish are experimental but already perform well in current tests.

4. Press Right Command again

Diktator! stops recording, transcribes locally, and pastes the result into your active app.

Diktator! needs three macOS permissions.

Microphone records your voice. Input Monitoring listens for the Right Command hotkey. Accessibility places or pastes the transcript into the active app. If Diktator! does not appear automatically in Input Monitoring, click + and select /Applications/Diktator.app.

Best places to use it.

Use Diktator! for notes, pages, letters, outlines, email, and everyday writing. It is not designed as a reliable way to enter terminal commands.
