Preferred method
Open the Diktator DMG and launch “Uninstall Diktator.app”. If your installed version has Uninstall in Diktator Settings or the app menu, you can use that too.
Uninstall
Remove Diktator! from your Mac.
The preferred method is the built-in uninstaller. Manual removal is still available below if you need it.
Uninstall options
The uninstaller can remove the app only, remove the downloaded AI model, reset macOS permissions, or perform a full uninstall.
Remove app only
Removes Diktator.app while leaving support files and the downloaded AI model on your Mac.
Remove AI model
Deletes the downloaded local AI model so it can be downloaded again later if you reinstall.
Reset macOS permissions
Resets Diktator-related Microphone and Accessibility permissions where macOS allows it.
Full uninstall
Full uninstall removes the Diktator app, Diktator support files, downloaded AI model if selected, logs/settings, and resets macOS permissions where macOS allows it.
What it does not remove
The Diktator uninstaller does not remove external Homebrew installations or unrelated old Dictator-with-C prototype files.
Manual removal
If you cannot run the uninstaller, quit Diktator!, move /Applications/Diktator.app to Trash, then remove Diktator support files from your user Library only if you also want to remove local models and settings.
